Skydivers even look fearless before they get into an airplane.
In their military-style jumpsuits, wearing parachutes and helmets, there's something about the way some of them saunter around the hangar pre-flight, chatting about anything but the idea of jumping out of a plane.
But are these folks really as brave as they would have us believe? Are there chinks in their adrenaline-laced armor?
asap went to the United States Parachute Association's national championship competition to ask some of the country's most experienced jumpers: If this doesn't scare you, what does?
