THE ORB HAS BEEN FOUND! CONGRATULATIONS TO LeFebure333 AND FAMILY!
Eager to meet the winners who snatched up the elusive orb, I headed out to the final location early this morning. I took the Ellsworth exit off the 14 and made a left on 23rd st. As I approached the head of the bike trail, I glanced at the clock. 7:30am. "A lot of people are seeing the final clue right now," I thought to myself. I doubted anyone had found it. Though I was running late, I expected to beat them all to the site. As I pulled into the small gravel parking area, a family approached. "Are you from The Columbian?" they asked as I climbed out of my car, coffee in hand. "Yes, I am!" I responded in surprise. "Have you found it?" Oh, yes they had.
For the next hour and a half questers arrived on the scene, struggling to find places to park. The hunters discussed clues and took their own photos of the orb. The winners recapped over and over again their triumphant journey. Cider was passed around for a toast and competitors shook hands, some meeting for the first time. It was a wonderful morning at the site of CLUE 21. In my opinion, everyone who competed in this years Qvest is a winner.
