WHERE:
Juliano's Pizzeria, 15606
S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver;
360-254-1286 or visit www.julianospizza.com.
WHY: You'll
never have to ask for extra
toppings at Juliano's Pizzeria
in east Vancouver.
Just moving a slice from
the pan to your plate without
dropping an olive or pineapple
chunks is nearly impossible,
and a fork is necessary
to scoop stray toppings
back onto the slice.
CRAZIEST MENU ITEM:
The most popular pie at
Juliano's is also its most
filling: The Hurricane is
piled high with pepperoni,
salami, onions, Canadian
bacon, mushrooms, green
peppers, black olives, beef
and sausage.
YOU'LL LOVE IT
IF: You're up
for new pizza combinations
and love toppings.
One of the few changes
co-owner Kim Meadors made
after buying Juliano's six
years ago was to add the
Mooie Macho Taco Pizza,
which includes spicy refried
beans, seasoned beef, lettuce,
cheddar cheese, olives and
tomatoes.
Grateful Dead posters adorn
the walls, and the infatuation
with the legendary jam band
continues on the menu. The
Grateful Veggie includes
sun-dried tomatoes, onions,
artichoke hearts, feta cheese,
black olives and green peppers.
DON'T GO IF:
You're still sticking to
that new year's resolution
to shed a few pounds.
Even the classic Hawaiian
pizza features layers of
Canadian bacon and plenty
of pineapple.
COST:
Prices range from $11.20
for the small Just Cheese
Please pizza, featuring
whole-milk mozzarella cheese,
to $27.74 for the extra-large
Hurricane. Sandwiches cost
$4.95. Beer starts at $1.75
per glass and costs up to
$12 for a large pitcher
of microbrew.
HOURS:
11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday
through Thursday, 11:30
a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and
Saturday, 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday. |
